inroom

for fifteen years, inroom* has created interiors for sensitive locations such as hospitals, psychiatric institutions, prisons, old people’s homes, emergency shelters, work spaces, schools, etc. each project is designed to optimise the often unconscious but scientifically proven influence of the environment on the psyche.

the multidimensional approach of inroom* has its origin in the career of its founder geneviève héritier: the humanist foundations come from her studies and her artistic practice followed by a Master’s degree in psychology, her understanding of space and colour as well as the technical mastery come from her activity as a glassmaker.
she also teaches the influence of color in architecture and intervenes for expertise or advice.

philosophy

to promote user well-being and comfort, we consider places in their entirety by answering a maximum of problems: thought processes issued from psychology, architecture, pedagogy, sociology, as well as taking into account the needs and financial realities of institutions.

our interventions are meaningful and combine high practicality and timeless aesthetics, going beyond purely conceptual considerations. they aim to modulate the places so that they influence favorably the behavior and the feeling of all the users.
convinced that links are the basis of any successful project, we communicate with the various stakeholders throughout the process and also take care to enhance the institutional image.

tools

to respond to the specificity of each project, our training as a painter, glassmaker, psychologist and art therapist offer a wide range of knowledge and tools.

analysis

the analysis of the particularities and needs of the users as well as the organisational imperatives are put into perspective with the study of the architecture and the technical and financial constraints. the cartography thus defined is at the base of the concept and guides the project at each stage of the process.

colour mapping

tints actively contribute to the overall mood by creating unconscious impressions that influence feelings and behaviours. their impact is defined according to the specificities of each project and can also help to clarify the orientation.

materialities

the materials carry different resonances and must be considered in their entirety to create an environment which is in harmony with the architecture and its functionality.

signage

between instinctive and mental understanding, the signage must be simple and clear, fully adapted to its audience and to the spatial specificities.
when successful, users are increasingly reassured as their autonomy is reinforced.

furniture

defined by the institutional needs, it is fully integrated into the project to reinforce the desired atmosphere.
not affiliated with any brand, we are happy to work with our customers suppliers or make proposals. we also work with designers for custom-made items.

decoration

imagery, being directly associated with the memory of the event, is developed to be in adequacy with the public and the various activities.
the implementation of a graphic line guarantees a consistent and harmonious overall atmosphere in the long term.

lighting
acoustics

these two elements actively participating in user comfort and well-being, we often collaborate and integrate the skills of lighting and sound specialists on our projects.

organisation

according to the request, we propose a follow-up going from the initial project through to its realisation, while passing by its development.
inroom * manages, according to the needs and the request, all the phases of development: from the preliminary project to the project, through the preparation of production and the execution.
